With the 2014 World Cup reaching its closing stages, supporters all over the world are focusing on which nation will be crowned as the champions with Brazil hosting the worldwide competition but on the other side of the globe in Europe, clubs are preparing themselves for the upcoming season.
Just about every club in the major leagues is reinforcing their respective squads by signing new players.
Inter Milan took full advantage of Nemanja Vidic’s desire to leave Old Trafford and the Italian club managed on signing the Serbian defender on a free transfer and the Sporting Director of the club Piero Ausilio announced to the public that Inter Milan is attempting to sign Gary Medel from Cardiff City.
Ausilio told reporters: “We are in contact with Cardiff about Medel. He is a brave, very good player and had a great World Cup but we cannot talk about the issue.”
Several reports which are emerging from Italy are claiming that Inter Milan wants to sign Gary Medel on a loan deal and they are developing a contract that would allow the player on staying with Inter Milan on a permanent deal but only if Cardiff City and Medel agree to the transfer.
The midfield division of Inter Milan is stocked with promising young players such as: Mateo Kovacic and Saphir Taider while at the same time having fairly more experienced players with the likes of: Fredy Guarin, Hernanes and Zdravko Kuzmanovic. It would seem like the midfield section of the club would not need strengthening as there are other areas that could use reinforcement but that hasn’t stopped them from signing Yann M’Vila from Rubin Kazan, a player which comes as a surprise to many supporters of Inter Milan as the French midfielder went through a disastrous season with Rubin Kazan but Walter Mazzari is confident about the skills of the 24 year old midfielder which is why the Italian manager was eager on signing the Frenchman.
